Yeah, we don't want fire and emotion. Like that Saban guy we had, what did he ever do?

I want their coonskin hat wearin', barefoot, inbred as$es HIGHLY MOTIVATED to take the beatdown they're going to get in Baton Rouge. They'll think their trailer was getting turned over and their ol' lady's naked pictures taken from 'em by the time the Tigers are done with them. LET 'ER RIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :geauxtige

The problem with that is, we didn't dominate every opponent under Saban. Not to mention, we've only played one game this season, who's to say we won't dominate the rest of the way. Some of you guys are taking waaay too much from this one game.

And it is no different than any other year. Everyone makes HUGE conclusions based on the first game. That is just silly. Even more so when you consider all of the other circumstances surrounding our first game this year.

I don't buy that. I know one coach named Dennis Franchione that used to pretty good success against Saban. He wouldn't even shake Saban's hand on a made up rumor. Don't fool yourself that coaches don't use bulletin board stuff other coaches say all the time. I remember in high school, our coach used even the most insignificant stuff to motivate us.

He never said the coaches don't use the tactic, he just said it's overrated as a means to motivate.

    i ditto your ditto.

it surely will be used as an inflammatory statement that mr pro saban would never do. most coaches avoid this at all costs because motivation is a key factor and any edge to your opponents should be avoided even if only perceived.
