I was always a big Adrian Mayes fan. He was as solid as they come on special times. Overall though, I'd say Alexander.

Don't think so, he got as much pub as a freshman could possibly get that year.

    Contained Chaos Don't we all?

I don't know. Seems like all the focus was on Webster, Lavalais, Hill, Spears, etc. He always kind of went unmentioned whenever the talking heads were raving about our defense.

I tend to think Hunt. He was always the guy my buddies and I made fun of before the game. And after the game.

But DURING the game, that dude was around the ball on just about every play. He couldn't bring a guy down by himself too often, but man he could slow 'em down (and there's a lot to be said for that.)

Yeah I'd say EA. He left it all on the field. That 2003 team sure was special.

For a similar reason that you'd make fun of someone named Mike Hunt?:hihi:

LaRon didn'ty quite the pub those guys did, that's true. But he got about 10 times more pub than Alexander. I'd be willing to bet that many LSU fans couldn't even name Alexander as one of the starting LB's on that team without a lot of thought being put into it.

Lionel Turner was always unheralded in my opinion. The guy was HUGE for an LB, and hit hard. I guess he is pretty well known because he won the game essentially when he brought down Jason White.

I'll agree with Eric Alexander, as well as Cameron Vaughn. The LBs did not get much credit because the DL was so good. Marquise Hill, Marcus Spears, Chad Lavalais and Kyle Williams? what a sick line

Im suprised no one said Randle Gay he was supposed to be the best corner on that team then broke his arm was out for a while. didnt get a lot of recognition but never seemed to get beat. He played hurt all year and now starts for New England.
