1. I haven't had a really good muffaletta since The Library closed on Chimes St. in the 90's. I know places in New Orleans where there is a good one. Where in south Baton Rouge can I get a decent muffaletta, nowadays.

High-quality meat, cheese, and olive mix I can find. Good fresh bread, lightly toasted is tougher.
  2. It's that bread that really makes a difference. The loaves the Central Grocery in New Orleans uses are so good, and the sesame seeds atop the loaf add the perfect touch. I can't recall seeing muffaletta loaves (or at least good ones) in a store. Perhaps they are only produced for restaurants.

  4. Also try Jason's Deli in CitiPlace Ct. Pretty good.

  5. I didn't find Jason's muffaletta disgusting but it was bland and about as generic as a Micky D's burger.
  6. Well, it has been a while since I had one there. Not the best or disgusting, but alright.

    Anyone tried Rocco's?
