You ought to be up here. That's all the local news was covering ,Nutt's press conference. As far as them crying over the OC and QB. Understand, thats all they have besides D-Mac and Jones. Compare to LSU and well we can afford to lose people like that and still win 11 games cause were pretty stocked with talent at every position. Aaahhhhh great to be a tiger fan.

Saban's recommending Nutt as his replacement probably had more to do with their agent, Sexton.
Maybe Arkansas will hang on to Nutt until Saban leaves Alabama, then Nutt can go to Alabama.

I can see that. Especially Saban's "it's all about me" personality. Perhaps in his mind, if LSU hired Houston Nutt and he performed the same way here as he has at Arkansas--AVERAGE--then Saban had a "safety valve" for if the NFL wasn't for him.

there is no way that you could say that nutt wasnt loyal to them. mustain got to start in the decond game and 8 more. cleveland and williams ended up doing the same. he gave mustain chances and he wasnt doing anything. so why the heck would you keep letting him throw when he was tossing it to the other team and you got the best running back in the country in the backfield. those guys dont deserve a lick of anyones respect, and especially nobody's side when it comes to loyalty at all.

Nutt does some idiotic stuff sometimes, but he's not a bad coach to have. He's at ARKANSAS! Arkansas has great fans and everything, but do you think kids really flock to the happening scene in Arkansas. Um..no.

He's gone to 7 bowls out of the 9 years he's been there and been to the SECCG twice. That's pretty good considering how the Hogs were doing before he got there. Now, there's no reason his team should ever get beat like it did against USC twice, or start out every season lately looking pathetic, etc. Still, their only losses this year came to #1, #3, #4 and I think #6. Not bad. And they were probably one moronic 4th down pass call away from beating LSU. We couldn't stop their running attack. PERIOD. To throw it on 4th down is one of the reasons he gets so much $hit. And he deserves that, but not as much as he gets.

Add in there the fact that he beat the living crap out of Auburn at Auburn (something I can never recall us doing) and beat Tennessee like a snare drum and you have a pretty good season. As great as we were, we WEREN'T in the SECCG. You have to give the Nutt at least some credit. And they played Florida well after looking like they were gonna get stomped.

I don't really know if I would have wanted him for LSU and all of that, but he's not bad for Arkansas. Their fans are getting like Ole Miss fans - see where they're at now after firing Cutcliffe. They couldn't win in the Sun Belt Conference right now.

Mustain may improve, but he was given good playing time for being so young. I thought he sucked when I saw him. But then again, so did the other QB when I saw him. The fact is that the whole team can leave. As long as McFadden and Jones come back, they'll be good. Those are two of the most explosive running backs I've seen in years. If they would have played McFadden at QB more in the bowl game they would have won. I don't care if he wasn't 100%. McFadden playing a running QB at 50% is still better than Dick and Mustain playing at 1000%. Oh yeah, they need Monk back too, he's the only guy they throw to for anything that counts.

Mustain got a ton of playingtime as a freshman, WTF did he expect, the key to the university? Nutt had a couple of fabulous running backs and an inconsistent freshman QB, so he went with the running game and had a great season. I don't care how good he is, you can't let a freshman quarterback, his old coach, and his parents tell the coach how to run his damn team.

If they don't like it, they can leave, so they did and now every party is better off--the University, Nutt, and Mustain.
