@Tiger_fan Not saying you're wrong, but if that's the case then ANY autograph of a current NCAA student athlete being sold violates the rule, right? And so wouldn't signing for a broker at least raise the presumption that the broker was going to sell them even if the athlete didn't get any money? That would seem to place Mr. Foosball and aTm in at least lukewarm water that's getting hotter.

Full disclosure, I did a search for LSU 2013 football autographs and couldn't find any for sale. Interesting. Found lots of former players though.

Its the cease and desist clause. Their attorney has already satisfied.

It means that johnny nitwit just screwed up the game of the year. It's been a while since I've seen someone in this big of hurry to be this reckless. And I blame Sumlin. He alone could have taken the keys to the car any ole time and did not, would not, and this out of control diva will be out there on the practice field when the NCAA shuts him down. Sumlin couldn't even hint at the possibility. "In house" is code for permissive at college station.

@TUSKtimes Not at all what I was looking for. Big people are talking, using big words like desist, dense and expand; we'll let you know when or if your input is needed.

    R'oh row, Raggy.

An "East Coast autograph broker" says he paid Mr. Foosball 7.5k to sign some 300 full sized and mini helmets back in January and has video of the signing, but no video of the cash exchange. aTm has lawyered up, using the same lawyer that represented the Barn during the sCam sandal.

This is what I think will happen. The NCAA and SEC want him to play really bad this season, to hype all the games A&M has and to hype a possible 2nd run at the Heisman. I think this guy crash and burns. His family has money, I don't see why he needed money. I think he is one of these guys that complains about the attention and scrutiny but keeps putting himself in those positions to be scrutinized. He'll be like Tebow in terms of a player. Great college QB if he makes thru to Senior year but not a NFL QB but will get a lot of attention if he stays this good for another 2 years before NFL.

And they are night and day apart in terms of character. Unless his draft projections are in the crapper, there is 0% chance he is back in College Station next year.

...a string of incidents, progressively worse, couldn't Sumlin have done something? He could have suspended him from the team without reason, could'nt he? Might have saved the kid's career.
