I hate the "Geaux" font...it's like we're trying to be "extreme" or something. Like Miami's uniforms. Ugly as sin. LSU!
I much rather the new design. I didn't like the old stretched block letters anyway. I think little changes like this are good. They help denote different eras/coaching changes when you see an old game on tv or tape. No one's said anything about the white outline, though. It used to be purple on one end and gold on the other. No matter what, it's always better than plain old "LSU" at the 50 and "TIGERS" in the end zones from the Dinardo era. Speaking of Dinardo, I wonder how he thinks this new design will affect recruiting. :hihi:
Old design was way better. This design was used in the early 90's, but was changed in the Dinardo era to the one used for this game. One of the first things Nick did was to have the endzones changed back to the BIG letters. Whoever it is at the AD that likes it this way is at it again. I'm emailing Herb Vincent when all of this crap is over and lobby for a reversal.
I can get used to the new endzone design...It's not all that bad (though I prefer the old "stretched one"...but it'll grow on me before long.) Hell, it's purple...it's gold....and it says "LSU". How COULD it look bad?!??!
I like it... looks more streamlined and modern. Maybe that is why everyone dislikes it... I think it looks fresh and new. But when you're LSU I don't think we need fresh or new.
I don't have a problem with the new endzones. I'm glad to know I'm not alone in my thinking. (Like I thought I was.)
