There's a new Nobody Wants Us Conference being formed with the following teams. The travel budgets are going to be huge for some of these teams. I still don't see any BCS automatic qualifiers amomg this group.

Travel budgets will be no worse than they are now, because they have enough teams to set up geographic divisions similar to what they were as separate conferences.

They are apparently leaving themselves open to expansion up to 24 teams. If they do so, they will raid the Sunbelt and WAC. Imagine being the Sunbelt team that gets left out of this. Who is left for you to join up with? The MAC?

Maybe that sunbelt team could move down and dominate. :hihi:

i think i remember reading somewhere that this new (football only) conference is going to ask for permission from the ncaa to basically do it's own playoff. there will be four 4-team divisions. the division winners will have semi-final games, then those two winners will play in a conference championship.

if they get permission from the ncaa to do this, some look for the sec to expand to 16 teams and do the same.
