Hold on a second! That was a fumble and the ball did hit the ground. While the defense can recover the ball, are they allowed to advance it? If not which I think is the case, then the game should have ended with the defense simply recovering the ball. Am I missing something?
No I think that's on punts where you can't advance a muff. You can advance a fumble on a normal play like that. I gotta agree with Shane on this one that totally looks like something that would happen to us. I did some research and the quarterback for Spanish Fort, his name is Gordon Geofferson.
