Thanks. What he wrote didn't bother me. I just considered the source and moved on.

Yep. He also tested positive for steroids after his last fight in Feb. I'm sure if he was on roids for a significant length of time, it couldn't have been good for a ticker that was less than 100%

In Kimbo Slice's case the hype as a legendary street fighter that could beat any man was a case of hype over reality. It shows you how the internet and rumor can affect the views of a huge portion of our society without basis in fact. His phony name of Kimbo Slice aided greatly to his fame IMO. It is much harder to promote Kevin as the baddest man on the planet.

I don't begrudge him anything though. Although he wasn't that great fighting other pros, he did devastate the best of the best on the mean streets of Miami. I enjoyed watching those backyard brawls.

According to what I read, he only lost one street fight to a guy that had some martial arts training. I never really saw any of them. I give him credit for trying to go "legit" and fight in the cage. However, he didn't last long in the UFC, losing his only ppv fight and then being let go from his contract. He fought in lesser organizations and had a mediocre career.
