1. They were the oldest continously active rock band in NA. I guess that title now falls to that little ol band from texas
  2. I am really sad now. I was just thinking last week that some of my personal heroes from my youth were going to start passing on. I just was not expecting him.

  3. This is from the Snakes and Arrows Tour....they rolled the clip out again for R40 (the farewell tour), and I always thought it would have been hilarious (and very much in the band's character) if they would have acted out the South Park bit live. Neil, who was very well-read, could have spoken onstage for the first time by delivering the line, "That's not Tom Sawyer, that's Huckleberry Finn, stupid!" Audiences would have come absolutely unglued.
  4. "When I heard that he was gone, I felt a shadow cross my heart" --Neil Peart, from "Nobody's Hero"

  5. Damn. Did I just forget he had brain cancer. Sad day.
  6. If I recall correctly at one time during the show Geddy said something like "OK, thank you! we have enough beads now."

  7. Yes. Where were you sitting? That was the only show that I sat Geddy side.
  8. I don't think it was ever announced.
  9. It was, I remember it being news years ago but thought it was better.
  10. Nah, I've been asking on the Facebook fan page where I'm a member, and everyone says it was kept quiet. Hell, he died Tuesday, and it just came out today. He had become arthritic toward the end of his career, which was one of the reasons they hung it up. That may be what you're thinking of.
