Yep, same here. There was sort of a prequel, but no season 2 yet. Did you see that one? I think the show will continue, but with someone else will play Spartacus.
I missed that prequel thing. Oddly enough we were playing around with netflix last night and looked up spartacus just to see if there was anything new. so this dude dying bums me out. he was spartacus for gods sake. its weird they have some episodes on streaming but the other half on disc only.

The prequel, Spartacus, Gods of the Arena was cool. It shows the earlier years of Batiatus and his gladiators. Kind of the making of Crixus. I think John Hannah and Lucy Lawless were so loved in the first series that they wanted to bring them back for more (than and the fact that Andy Whitfield was sick). Season 2 of Spartacus is bringing in a new actor in that role and also the main gladiator in the prequel. I also saw Lucy Lawless in the preview.
