1. It's "their" and no, it does not.
  2. Parents will appreciate this one (or anyone who can remember what they read as a child). Jan Berenstain, co-creator of "The Berenstain Bears" children's books, died today at age 88. Stan and Jan Berenstain wrote about 300 books, and saw them published in 23 languages.

  3. Oh wow. I absolutely loved those books as a child and still do as a parent.
  4. I just read one of their books about manners to my kids about a week ago. Papa Bear (or whatever he was called) almost got into a fight for yelling at the car in front of him for suddenly stopping but later realized the car had stopped for a family of ducks crossing the road.
  5. I hated that f*cker for what he did to my Astros in the 1986 NLCS.

Though he's remembered for Game 5, Game 6 was actually the killer. Sixteen innings. 'Stros take a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first and carry it for six innings. Mets tie it in the top of the ninth. I watched the first 9 innings while "studying" for an Abnormal Psych mid term in the old Tiger Lair in the Union. Was pi$$ed when I had to leave in the bottom of the 9th to take the exam. Finished and got back just in time to see the Mets score 3 in the top of the 16th and the Astros score 2 in the bottom of the frame to send the Mets to the World Series.

RIP Gary. Great ballplayer and, from what I've heard and read, a solid person.
  6. I hated him too for the same reason. I had to go to work that day for game 6. I kept calling friends to get score updates. no cell phones with internet back then. :)
  7. Is Snooki's unborn child considered a celebrity?

If so, I want the odds on that.
