1. Of course, we already know much of this but here are the numbers from today's USA Today.

States with the most NFL players per capita:

    Louisiana
    1 per 55,862

    Mississippi
    1 per 67,730

    South Carolina
    1 per 78,667

    Washington, DC
    1 per 81,723

    Alabama
    1 per 83,908

    Source: USA Football
  2. States with the most black population per capita:

    # 1 District of Columbia: 57.177 per 100 people
    # 2 Mississippi: 35.596 per 100 people
    # 3 Louisiana: 31.613 per 100 people
    # 4 South Carolina: 28.294 per 100 people
    # 5 Georgia: 27.212 per 100 people
    # 6 Maryland: 26.685 per 100 people
    # 7 Alabama: 25.416 per 100 people

    See any correlation? :hihi:
  3. I'm sure some idiot is going to come in here and call you racist but its the truth...

High black population areas=more abundance of athletes. Its pretty much common sense. That is why the South is such high recruiting beds nationally for CFB.
  4. It's funny how the predominantly white New England states always portray the south as racist. They claim there are no problems up there as their 1-2 tokens are treated equally.

I just remember as Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, Ted Kennedy, Bob Kerry, etc. complained about the lack of assistance rendered during Katrina...none of them bothered to invite anyone to their state.

I'm sure their opinion (off the record of course) was if you give them a little federal assistance, they'll remain there and not relocate to our state.

We have our problems but I think we have better (and to a greater extent) interaction between white/black than anywhere in the country. Nothing brings everybody together more than a Saints' win! I hope they show the positive interaction for a change and stop trying to give every story a negative racist theme.

Chicago, Detroit, New York, etc. have their fair share of problems too yet we're the ones they point fingers at. Damn Yankees! :hihi:

  5. Jimmy the Greek would have been fired for mentioning such a thing. Oh, wait,, he was.

But now that you have brought it up, has anyone actually did the breakdown on the race of the current NFL players from each state? That would be an interesting stat. I woud assume that the Manning boys are "from" Louisiana. Just saying
  6. so are:
    Reggie Wayne
    Ed Reed
    LaRon
    his brother
    Kevin Faulk
    Devery
    Clayton
that DB in Baltimore who went to Nicholls
    Brandon Jacobs

    just saying
  7. Man....I thought we had more than 67,730 people in Ms.:)
  8. i cant help it. but dc cant be statistically significant. so they put what?, 7 in the nfl?

i think american samoa is tops. they have at least three with a populatin of 65k.
