1. LSU hosting regional round. All I know is that WKU will be at the Pmac.

  2. If it's to be a true regional format, I would guess we also get TCU and Texas State.
  3. except that Az st needs two more teams. maybe tbd and the outcast milwaukee
  4. Too early for basketball talk..... we haven't even lost a football game yet!
  5. Never too early for basketball talk (or baseball for that matter). We still have a month until football starts, gotta pass the time somehow.
  6. It's never too early/late for hoops talk!!! Especially in a year when there are no expectations you can just let the team develop and play.

Gumbo is right, the structure is regional, but Texas falls into the SW and TCU and TX State both go to the Arizona St. hosted site.

LSU gets Western Kentucky, Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the one TBD team. Interestingly, you could debate that LSU has the "toughest" draw to get to the Final Four at Madison Square Garden, but at least it's home court advantage... Fans really need to get up for this one. When you consider that both WKU and W-M are traditionally very well respected mid-majors, with very good success, the Tigers will have their work cut out for them.

Duke only has to deal with Charlotte, a team that athletically could give Duke fits, but still underclassed. UConn has the easiest path with Hofstra, Yale , and Colgate. ASU will be tested by Cal State Northridge, but can manage TCU and Texas St. LSU will have to get by at least two quality opponents to get to NY.

But, what a reward if they go. NY, Madison Square Garden, Bigtime ESPN coverage, and the opportunity to match up against a Duke or UConn very early in the season. Tas' has got to be drooling...

And, what about recruits, Stringer and Turner? Join the Trent Johnson LSU train, boys. Primetime... Primetime...
