There were multiple passes that JR never stepped into that could've been big yards or TD's if he had stepped into. He hardly set his feet all night throwing passes. He was not the same at throwing the ball like he was the 1st two games, but his pure arm strength bailed him out. He needs to stick with his fundamentals when he has time in the pocket.

The pass was very catchable. Early was in the air when the leg humping began and he was actually pushed back while in the air, you can see him leaning way forward. Bad call yes but JR is at fault too.

I would wonder if the AU fans would acknowledge all the other bad calls and no calls agains LSU. The Early PI non call is the one talked about in the media.

Would any AU fan have the gonads to admit:
    - The fumble by Hester in the 1st half being called incomplete when he had clear control and took 2 1/2 steps before getting knocked out. There was not indisputable evidence to overturn that.

    - Lafell, LSU WR, was mugged by D. Irons in the endzone, No Call

    - R. Smith (AU) fumbled the ball when he was put on his butt by LaRon Landry. No Call

    - Late Hit on Hester to the face mask out of bounds. No Call

    - Then the obvious PI call that was picked up at the end.

I would like to know how many bad calls went against AU, if any AU fans would like to acknowledge that.

I like most of the AU fans in here, you guys are cool, respect LSU and are smart. LSU should've won the game even with the bad calls and no calls that went against us due to play calling, O-L not creating running lanes, and several poor passes and clock management by JR. But the refs sure messed this up bad.

Impossible to know that. If he didn't have a man draped around his legs, he may have been able to come back to the ball.

I don't post much on the forum, but i do enjoy the insight i get when i read the posts......Will anyone explain to me why the PI was any different than the one that happened when Jessie Daniels picked the ball off and they called PI on us......to me there is no difference, so the PI should have been called. It was the same situation, one guy pushed the AU receiver, but Daniels was already in front of him and picked it off........any help on that call???

The difference is WHEN the contact on the receiver occurs. In our case, we hit the AU receiver before the ball was intercepted. That is a personal foul, 15 yds. In the case of the AU overturned call, the officials decided that the ball was tipped BEFORE the receiver had contact (when viewing any image or video, it's obvious that it's not the case).

There is somewhere on the fourms a post citing the specific rule, but it was off topic of the thread title and therefore can't remember which one it was.

ya i figured there would be no difference.....having played high school ball for 4 years a few years ago, i figured there wasn't any real difference....just a bad call. Oh well, bring on Tulane!!! And i can't wait to go visit the swamp again, This will be my 3rd time in the last few years and i'll be there to defend my 2-0 winning streak there.....i wish i could say the same for my AU winning streak........
