The more I read posts on the forum by some very..... knowledgeable.... posters, the more I realize that the odd start to this season had no effect at all on this LSU football team. None of their shortcomings in playing two top 15 teams to start the season can be attibuted to their modified practice schedules.

Playing a 'home' game in Tempe, Arizona had no effect on LSU's ability to run new schemes under the new coaching staff. Not having a regular practice schedule certainly could not have caused the defense to be out of sync and get so many offsides penalties in these first few games.

Center to quarterback exchanges being fumbled certainly have nothing to do with any of the time they spent helping out fellow citizens of our state rather than practicing on the practice field. Countless dropped passes by wide receivers certainly could not have been related to timing being off because of a lack of regular practice.

No folks, this is all 100% because of the coaching staff. You see, when a team is dealing with life and death issues on its campus on a daily basis it is the coaches who must pull the team away from all of this and force them to focus on football. That's all that really matters anyways right, the games played and the win/loss record?

Surely nobody cares about the tragedies the people of this state, including our LSU football players, have gone through over the past few weeks. How can I say this you may ask? I say this because it seems as though most have already forgotten.

    Excellent post.

You'll take note of those posters that are taking shots at the coaching staff... and note that most of them weren't sold on the hires when they were made a short 9 months ago (I've been searching through old threads). Les Miles had a reputation at oSu for losing games he shouldn't have lost, generally saying stupid **** on television, and poor game management and coaching acumen. However, nobody can deny he turned a perennial Big XII South cellar dweller into a bowl team.

Bo Pelini's last coaching job (at OU) left the sooners with one of the worst defenses in the Big XII conference and a huge dropoff from the #2 defense (to us) in 2003.

I think preconceptions have a lot more to do with certain people's dislike of the staff than reality at this point. You can't judge a guy on the team's performance in two games, especially not after what's happened off of the field this season.

It is a shame to use Katrina as a crutch. Bottom line is start the season with a fake punt inside your own 10 yd line. This talent should need no gadget plays. Which to me is a clear indication he cant recognize that he is not at some bs OSU team where even our own Ole Miss dogged his azz out a few times. Flat outcoached bad in Tiger Stadium. No fire on the sidelines and some of you choose to find excuses for a bottom of the barrel coaching staff while watching this program fall from grace overnight. We will see some of you change your tune after we drop the Auburn game and the Florida game. It will be a great laugh watching you guys come on board.

151, I'm convinced you are infact a fan of another SEC team. You think we should call into radioshows to call out our coach? What good would that do? Does it somehow make Miles coach better? Does it make Skip fire him faster? NO. Whatever you are, you are no LSU fan.

Kjun, you might be an LSU fan, but I still don't like you.

The ASU win was a miracle. LSU with 2 TDs on special teams blocks was a first in school history.

LSU can beat FLA & AU IF the stupid ass coaching gets out of the way and lets the athletes play. I'm not ready to give up totally on this team, but I'm almost certain Miles will continue to exhibit poor coaching in big games, it's in his nature. When it happens, MARK DOWN THE "L"

    NO FAITH IN LESS SMILES!

edit: Got it, you mean to say this is our most infamous poster's alias.
