Dandy Don reports that Miles has decided not to play a spring game because of stadium construction.

    Any confirmation?

That has been circulating a lot. I don't know why they can't do it just like last year. Open one side of the stadium up for seating for the spring game. If not that, perhaps Memorial stadium or something - how many seats does it have?

Going to be some unhappy people around here if there is no spring game........

From what I understand, it is because they will be replacing the playing surface at the time the spring game would normally be held.

I would think they could find another stadium to play the spring game. Why not have it at Tad Gromley in New Orleans

Well, it could also be that Miles doesn't want to show any of his cards before the new season.

Hi, I'm new here, class of 99.

It would be killer if they had it at Tad. Heck, why not the Superdome? I'm sure it's got nothing to do during that time.

    Peace,

I can't see LSU ponying up money to rent out Tad Gormley for a Spring Football Game, as well as all the logistical costs involved in transporting players, coaches, equipment, staff, feeding them...etc. All that money spent on a Spring Game???? I highly doubt it!

The Spring Game in New Orleans? Come on - that will cost way too much $$$$$$...

If they stay on track with the renovations and Mike's cage I can live without a scrimmage open to the public. We'll get over it. We have a scrimmage planned for September 3rd v North Texas.
