How about this guy as the next head coach. Giving his history with QBs I think it would get the commitment from RP. He would need a strong DC though.

No. He has little interest in becoming a head coach. He loves being the OC.

The DC we have now would be ok with me. I'd love a Chow/Muschamp tandem...despite what people say/think, Norm Chow can recruit. He was recruiting coordinator for BYU for a while, and recruited Matt Leinart & others. Given the chance, and a job he wishes to take (has turned down HC jobs before to remain asst.), he will be a great coach...dare I say powerhouse.

That's true and false. He does love being the OC, but he also has great interest in becoming a HC. He interviewed for the Standford job, and really wanted it. Carroll pulled him away from NC State by telling him he'd get him a HC job in 2 years. He was offered but turned down BYU (karma's a bitch).

OT: Norm Chow's BYU offense of 1989 is on ESPN Classic right now.

    That's friggin hilarious!!!

I like Norm Chow and think he's a fine coach and if you would have told me that an assistant from USC was taking the Ole Miss job, Chow would've been my first thought, not Ed Orgeron. Which leads me to this: there has got to be some VERY GOOD reasons why Norm Chow has not been a head coach at a Div. I school. Geez, he spent an enternity at BYU and seemed the likely successor to Lavell Edwards, but they opted for Gary Crowton. There must be something in his past, which doesn't seem likely, or just doesn't interview well because you'd think he'd have a job somewhere. I mean, geez Buddy Teevens got hired at Tulane and Stanford for crying out loud, how is it that Chow doesn't have a head coaching job?
