1. havent done much fishing this month and gotta get back to work Monday so took the boy after some catfish yesterday evening.....of course it was stupid hot and not much happening with the fish till after dark then he finally got to catch a couple. Of course had to head home for supper right when they started to bite a little. Had to behead a pretty big cotton mouth too that tries to crawl up on the bank with us. So anyway very slow only 2 fish.

Then this morning the forecast was good so went after some trout.....the forecast was wrong. Steady north wind 15-20 gusting to over 30. Found a few nice specs 18-22 inches and a handful of nice whites but called it a morning pretty early just miserable fighting the wind. Didn't notice till after pic was taken and fish were cleaned but kids had playing with phone and switched the pics over to black and white apparently and I bout never figured out how to get it back normal.

  2. Wow, that spec closest to you is fat! Sure is nice being able to go out and grab a mess like that even when the wind is bad. Nice fishing.
  3. Yea it's a good fish especially being it's a male. Slit the belly open to get the roe out(best part to eat) and was surprised that it was male. Don't see very many males that big
  4. I always throw the roe away. It's part of the fish guts.
  5. To each their own but I can tell you you are missing out
  6. theres a roe vs wade joke all over this thread.
  7. Better to roe than wade if you don't want to get your feet wet.

  8. I filet all my fish and throw everything away except the filets. Except for sac-au-lait. They are better fried after cleaning, heading and scaling
  9. Hell I eat bait to though.....made lunch today from the left over I bait I caught but didn't use this morning....
