are you "a typical white person"?

Obama said: "The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn't. But she is a typical white person who, if she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know, there's a reaction that's been bred into our experiences that don't go away, and that sometimes come out in the wrong way, and that's just the nature of race in our society."

i guess he can claim he has the right to say this because he is half white.

We're starting realize just why Obama has avoided discussing race in all his early campaigning. It's a minefield and not only "typical white people" make blunders.

Obama would be better suited to not talk about race. I guess he thinks it is part of the great big change of his but one side or the other will spin a race issue out of control, whether it was done fairly or not.

Shutting his mouth would be a great option.

It is always best to avoid racial issues. The topic is a mine field.

We need to discuss it so that we call all understand the issue better and move forward. However, for a politician, it can become a suicide mission.

It s not that he cant talk about it. He can talk about it for 24 hours a day, but he wont be president.
