Man, you are hardheaded. I don't care whether there's a religious symbol in a public place. If there's one there, fine. If not, fine. I DON'T CARE. I also don't understand why anyone would care one way or the other. Unless the "symbol" is emitting poisonous gases or "smiting" passersby, it's just another "thing". Like a tree. Or a sleeping wino.

    you said before:

"The point was that I don't want the crescent displayed anywhere because to me it represents hatred towards Americans."

i agree with you. i just add a couple more symbols to the "symbols of hate" list.

It's not brushed over at all. "Free exercise of religion" is a right due to citizens. It's a redefinition to assert that it means that the government has the right to exercise religion as in putting up a nativity scene at the courthouse.

Self righteousness leads to self delusion, amigo.

But this is not at question? Who has said this?

Have you never seen nativity scene? You see, each of them must contain a baby Jesus statue with a little halo surrounded by Jews with sheep and Arabs with camels. It commemorates the birth of Christ, you know.

I'll say it ONE MORE TIME.

The Court has ruled that it is unconstitutional for government to endorse religion in America. Anywhere in America. Bunkie cannot pass a law overturning a federal law any more than it could secede from the US. Bunkie's citizens are first and foremost US citizens and protected by federal law.

So Bunkie passed a law mandating a nativity scene on the courthouse lawn and for all Bunkie-ites to come and worship? Those rascals.

Maybe because the Bunkie Walmart or Toys-R-Us doesn't carry any Jewish baby dolls. How should I know? I've never set up a nativity scene before.
