Any opinions on our offensive line?

    Peter Dyakowski (LT)
    Brett Helms (LG)
    Ryan Miller (C)
    Herrmann Johnson (RG)
    Bryan Johnson (RT)
    Keith Zinger (TE)

How would this line rate against the elite of college football?

    Top 5, 10...

    Weak points, strong points?

With Alley & Williams, or Justin, or Scott and Murphy, here we have all the talent in the world. Sure would be nice to have a line that could control and create. (Not too mention protecting a great QB w/ world class receivers)

i think a large part of USC's recent success was the OL, controlling the line of scrimmage and creating gaping holes, which made Bush and White look better than they are, IMO.

I think that Arnold will start at guard. Maybe herman to back up or tackle. No way dyakowski starts, imho. :)

Lots of talent there. Not that much experience, and we lack depth behind them if one were to go down.

It will depend how they come together. It seems we've had a lot of talent the past few seasons, but our Oline never dominates like it should. I think this line could actually end up being better than last years.

With the lack of experience, it'd be tough to put them in the top 10, but I think that once the season gets rolling they could be up there.

Bryan Johnson (OT) -- Good solid SEC player, returning starter
Brett Helms (OG) -- good solid SEC player, former starter
Ryan Miller (C) -- good solid SEC player, former starter
Will Arnold (OG) -- good solid SEC player, returning starter
Phil Loadholt (OT) -- 6-9, 340 pound Phil Loadholt, a JC transfer will be a sophomore next year and could step right into Whitworth's shoes.

Herman Johnson -- good backup, huge, but slow
Peter Dyakowski -- good backup, needs playing time

From what I understand, Loadholt is quite raw and will be a bit of a project. I don't think he'll start next year...at least not early in the season. He does have the size and athletic ability.

Arnord did not play the two games which we lost, if I recalled correctly.
