Turning point of the game was made by the refs with the penalty on the blocked punt... Followed by Kirby taking Michel out of the game and the wild dog plays...
But, I hate to say it, props to Saban for having the nuts to put in the Hawaiian for the entirety of the 2nd half of the NCG having not played all year, and to the freshman for selling the play to the right and turning to the left and humming the ball for a strike as the game winner. Lots of guts and poise in all of that. Sure the refs helped along the way, and GA took their foot off of the pedal at times in the 2nd half, but that kid showed a lot to win that game coming off of the bench. Just gotta give credit where credit is due.
It looked to me like GA pulled in their wings a bit. They stopped being aggressive on offense. Kirby went into 'Oh fuck, we might really win this.' mode. When you do that vs the Evil Dwarf, he has you by the Ying yangs.
The Hawaiian played out of his ass. He was just chunking it. Ga stopped being aggressive on offense giving the Gumps renewed life. It will be interesting to see if once the dust settles, if the Hawaiian can handle life in the Evil Dwarf's pressure cooker.
