While the offense was explosive last year finishing tenth in the nation, it might surprise you to know that Oregon State had the nation's seventh best run defense. It might surprise you to know that OSU had the nation's fourth best run defense, and it might surprise you that the school is becoming a factory for fantastic NFL linebackers cranking out Nick Barnett, Richard Siegler, and most likely in 2005, Jonathan Pollard.

Mike Riley, the OSU coach, was the secondary coach of the Saints for at least one year. I guess he made some connections in NO.
