MSU opens their bb season tonight in the coaches vs cancer classic. They will be a "host" team. But the game will be in Birmingham. Our lord and father, the ncaa, has a rule that prohibits schools located in states that display the Confederate battle emblem (on the Miss. flag) from hosting predetermined or exempt events. The game had been sold out on campus. Now, 2000 tickets have been sold. State would have cleared $100,000 in Starkville. The American Cancer Society will take the big hit. Aren't these the same sons of bitches that VOTE themselves huge raises, shut down programs they don't FAVOR, get all the FREE tickets along with VIP treatment to games to decide whether USC sucks or is the MIGHTY victor. How do you apply for a job with them? Is one BORN into the ROYAL family? What qualifications do you need? I thought they ruled college sports. Now I see that they RULE on questions political, ethnic, moral, and spiritual. How do we worship thee? Get on our knees or bend over? GO TO HELL NCAA----DO NOT PASS GO ---DO NOT COLLECT $200 :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire :911:  :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa :usaflagwa

It will not happen, but how great would it be if the SEC formed its own league? Nothing would change in terms of revenue and fan support and the NCAA would look like idiots...

One can dream. We all have a personal opinion about the rebel flag, but the NCAA should not involve themselves with issues like this. In fact, I appreciate their efforts at making changes in society, but this is nothing more than a phony way to flaunt their powers. NCAA be damned...

OK, OK I hate to do it, but I agree with a rebel fan...

This is the most ridiculous rule ever, I live in MS and no one here complains about the flag anymore, what should the NCAAss care? The confederate emblem is just a small part of the flag....

I am not gonna get started on this.... :cuss: :angryfire

Personally, I don't think the NCAA should concern themselves with what's on a state's flag.

Agree. In fact, I don't think the NCAA should worry about the state of Mississippi at all. The NCAA should be concerned with athletic programs that win something once in a while.

    (just kiddin' Col )
