One of the guys on the podcast was saying there are more than a few moderately priced bourbons that are just as good. I kept waiting for him to name one so that I would have something to compare it to but he never did.

It may be. Same people at the same distillery. They make the Van Winkles, Wellers, Rebel Yell, Old Fitzgerald. Couple of their products are ranked in the top ten of bourbons
