Does anyone have a link to the video of Peoria Chiefs Pitcher Julio Castillo going psycho in a game last night? I saw a quick clip on Mike and Mike and it was just sickening. I guess he was arrested on felony assault charges. I'm sure someone will try to defend his actions but this guy should never take the mound again. I hope the next white lines he sees are not down first and third but the ones across his prison uniform.
I am not taking up for the guy at all. And I know that a fan got hurt and that is not alright by any means. But how is this any more or less heinous than a guy who throws at a batter in the batter's box? The end result makes it 100 times worse, but the intent was not any more different than things we see in baseball all of the time.
Because a batter always knows theres a good chance of getting hit with a pitch reguardless if he is trying to hit you or not. This dude must have watched Major League 3 to many times
how is he any more or less skilled in the dugout than in the batter's box? I am not saying this incident should be downplayed. What I am saying is that baseball brawls when pitchers throw at hitters are downplayed.
