1. I disagree. What was silly was having great expectations knowing the timebomb could've gone off at any moment...say, right before a big conference game. That's off the table now, and should offer MORE stability, and peace of mind.

Understand, completely from a talent standpoint, LSU with RP is a better team. HOWEVER, there is obviously more to it than talent.

I won't go pull it up now, but I remember one of these infamous RP threads from the past, and I mentioned character...team player. I was pretty much laughed at by some who claimed that was an overrated attribute. Where are they now??

  2. dont worry im sure i will.
  3. A huge disappointment and a setback for the football team, but you have to support Miles on his decision and give him credit for having the integrity to make it. RP had plenty of opportunities to do the right thing.
  4. No question about it. The quarterback situation is now wide open and in great flux. Even Jefferson has a shot at being the starter. Personally, I think Lee will get the nod. I am interested in who others think has the best shot at being the starter.

  5. From a leadership perspective, I'm betting the team respects the way CLM handled this whole thing.

Bad day for RP - all the best to him.
Bad day for the beginning of the 2008 football season - big shoes to fill.

Good day for the LSU football team overall and in the long run.
  6. I'll let you...but the word I used was "leadership", and I was told that "leadership" was strictly what happens ON the field. I was told that it was overrated. I believe it was Bandit that told the main one that was telling me how overrated leadership was, that he was confusing leadership with popularity. Bandit, you are a wise one, my friend.
  7. John argued vehemently. (tirk, how is that word spelled?)

    vehemently

  8. Nah - just old...

And I wish I had been wrong...

    But thank you...
