the personal foul didn't cost us the game!
Lack of offense, defense and kicking extra points cost us the game, consistantcy

Bizarre, between the OSU extra points and this one today.

Well, that would've been Ronnie Prude, not Doucet, and Prude landed on the ground...

That's the rule?? Wow, we should teach our lineman to just get under anyone that leaps for the kick, and get a free personal foul. Who is this penalty supposed to protect? Is a 280 lb offensive lineman really going to get hurt from a 175 lb receiver falling on him?

Kind of like the Colts-Bucs MNF game last year. Didn't they get rid of 'leaping' this past offseason?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't see it. That must be the refs birthday present to big ears.:angryfire

it would have been nice for a clarification. early doucet called for a personal foul. he jumped on the back of one of his teammates which gives him an unfair advantage in blocking the fieldgoal. i am very disappointed we had to depend on auburn missing a fieldgoal. i think pulling randall after his successful first drive was a bad move, and in general playing both qbs doesnt get either in a groove.

i was pushing for russell this week, but randall looked better this week. tough loss man, but we sure didnt play to win. auburn played very well. good game aubies. i am so disappointed in our offense. coach saban was dead on, both randall and russell have strengths and weaknesses. how can some teams start a freshman qb and be successful but we cant? it probably has something to do with the quality of defense we go up against.

we missed alot of tackles, but you have to credit auburn's runningbacks. the defense was strong enough, this game was all on the offense (and missing a PAT).

Question: If a personal foul is called AFTER the kick is made, WHY is it NOT inforced on the kickoff??!?!?!?!?!?!

That was SUCH a B.S. call!!!!!

Auburn fans might not like this, and they'll probably say I have sour grapes, but that official decided the outcome of the game on his own, when Auburn's kicker couldn't win it out-right on the original PAT!

That's crap! And if I were Saban, I would be kicking in that officials skull right about now!

Overall, it was a great defensive game. Both defenses looked good. I was a little disappointed in the missed tackles we had, and I was also upset that we didn't blitz as much. But when you hold an SEC opponent to 3 points up until the last 3 minutes of the ball game, you've played good enough to win.

Offensively, we couldn't find our consistancy. We're young on offense and this experience, though heartbreaking, should do nothing but give Russell and the rest of the young skill position players some valuable lessons and experience. Hopefully, either Russell or Randall will seperate himself as the starter because our offense needs to start jelling with ONE QB...

the reason for the rekick is because jumping on someone's back to get higher is not allowed and gives an unfair advantage to kick blockers.

So it should only be called if the kick is blocked and makes a difference in the game.

I always thought you had to climb their back to get higher, not land on their back.
