Their need for a QB trumps the need to strengthen their secondary. I’ve been saying for a couple of years now that they are one QB away from being a real super bowl contender.
As an Eagles fan, this is the best news I've ever heard. I couldn't be more excited about PP7 coming to the Birds. I'm not really a Kolb fan to begin with, but he did handle the Falcons D last year. Teams think he's showing something. Love this trade.
Macnow is a pretty respected member of the media in Philly. He works for the #1 sports radio show in the city. I know it can't even happen right now, but the fact that he says they have the terms done makes me pretty confident.
Actually most are now saying Greg Toler and a 1st and 2nd or 3rd round pick. Sal Paolantonio is saying Kolb to Arizona is a slam Dunk.
If Kolb doesn't pan out, correct. But if Kolb plays well for a number of years, there will be no steal in this deal no matter how great a career Peterson has (and I do believe he will be great).
Kolb lost his starting job to a guy that was out of football for a number of years. If the Eagles can get Phoenix to bite on this trade they should jump at it!
