1. Fulmer has Vols back on top

Tennessee's Phillip Fulmer is the quintessential recruiter, which means recruiting never strays too far from his thoughts.

Golfers think about hitting greens. Bankers think about reeling in high-dollar accounts, and recruiters think about stockpiling talent.

As Fulmer puts the wraps on what will be his sixth consecutive top 10 class, one thing is clear. The dean of Southeastern Conference coaches hasn't lost his zeal when it comes to pounding the recruiting pavement.

"You can tell that Phillip loves recruiting," said veteran recruiting analyst Tom Lemming.

"He comes across to these kids as down to earth. He might have a street named after him in front of the stadium, but he doesn't put on airs. He's hard working and will never be outworked in recruiting.

"He has that chip on his shoulder, too, and isn't going to let anybody else get a jump on him."

  2. He's still fat.
  3. Maybe they should wait on writing these articles to see if Tenn gets investigated.
If they aren't padding recruits pockets then Fulmer is really great at recruiting.
  4. That stadium is a much more effective recruiting tool than Fulmer is...
  5. Well it looks like we will have to deal with him 1 additional year as he got a 1 year extension. I think he is signed until 2011.
  6. Fulmer now has 26 commits and only 24 schollies available.

Fulmer also took a kid who wouldn't have passed the Georgia conduct screening committee.

Vladimir Richard is Fulmer's biggest victory. Kept Florida from getting him.

Meyer was shut out of both DL and DE recruits when Gordon switched to Miami.

Georgia has ended up with the best defensive recruiting class in the nation while Florida was shut out of DLs and DEs.

    I love it! :D
  7. I haven't looked real close, but it looks like FL is taking a beating today. The 5 star DT switched to Miami, TN gets two of their earlier commitments and we get the 2 kids from Texas who were leaning towards them. You gotta love it! :thumb:
  8. Best class money could buy
  9. I can't imagine who will be playing on the DL for the Gators in a few years, unless, of course, Meyer just figures that Florida will score every time their offense gets the ball.

And right now, they are already thin. If they have any significant injuries, they will be in very serious trouble.
