I argued about 3 weeks ago I thought dirks should go into the friday night role, and I think it should be brought back up. I think we should slide Dirks and Smith to Friday and Saturday respectivitly. Maybe give Mirers a shot on Sundays. He pitched real good against Rice and hasn't really pitched since. Thoughts?

I agree to bumping Dirks to Friday... but Mestepey should be Saturday and Smith the same... benching Mestepey is just dumb, especially for Meier. JMHO.

Just because I feel lane should come out of the pen doesn't mean he's beening benched.

Its too late in the year to screw with the rotation. Clay and Greg seem comfortable pitching where they are. If it were earlier in the year I would say move Lane to the mid-week role, but this late in the year let him battle his way out. You know hes a great fighter.

with how lanes pitching?...he's ran out of gas or something. He does not look or seem like lane mestepey so bench him and take him out of the pen if needed.

Don't go messing with Dirks and Smith at this time of the year. They are in a groove and very comfortable pitching on Saturday and Sunday.

Mestepey will start Friday at Vandy. If he struggles again, I won't be surprised to see Smoke make a change at home against UK. Possibly start English or Meier.

But, I'm counting on Mestepey to get it together next weekend. Hell, we need him to pitch well if we are going to make any serious run in the postseason.

Pitching's been pretty salty so far this weekend. A win today would be huge.
