We have been running that crappy option play for the last 3 years and it has yet to produce any yards. In fact, if you added up all the yards gained on the option play from the last 3 seasons, it wouldnt equal 50 yards!!

Sorry, just couldnt take it any more :(

It's in Les' contract that we run it 3 times a game.

On a serious note, you're right on. Hasn't brought the results one would want.

    Welcome to the board. :thumb:

Couldn't agree with you more. It is often just plain ugly when we run it. I've seen Pop Warner teams run it better.:hihi:

Didn't notice it was your first post. Welcome.

This I agree with. Make it go away.

Yeah - one Keiland Williams romp two years ago just ain't doin' it for me.

    Jefferson just can't run it.

Kind of amazing that Flynn was good at it, though. Kid was solid.

In order for it to work successfully, it has to be done rarely or with a fast QB. Since we want to try it like it's our job, and since JJ isn't a total speedster, I agree that it should not be done as much. Maybe once in a blue moon when we get well ahead of our opponent to the point that we are just killing clock.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll try to be a little more positive in the future, but ole Les and Gary sure do make it hard sometimes :hihi:

Option 1 is the proper way to run the option.
Option 2 is the way LSU/Jefferson runs it.

This is why LSU needs to get away from the speed/power option.
