1. Pokey signs 6'3" Mesha Williams, a transfer from Moberly Community College. Williams finished her two year career at Moberly with 1,083 points (fifth in school history), 638 rebounds (second in school history) and a school record 194 blocked shots. She should provide some experienced backup for Sylvia. She also brings LSU's junior class up to a whopping 9 members.
  2. I think she could be a solid replacement for Florence Williams as well.

It's nice to think that for periods of time during a game, the Lady Tigers can have a 6'6" AND a 6'3" player on the court. ...fits right into our ball-control-defense philosophy..
  3. It will be interesting to see how Pokey recruits the next few years to accomodate a junior class of 9. If no one leaves the team, she will be able to add 3 people next year. But the class coming in for 2008 will have to be pretty big as the team will only have 6 underclassmen in it.

Just looking at some of the 2007 recruits associated with the Tigers:

6-5 C Kelley Cain, 6-4 F Victoria Baugh and 6-1 G Stefanie Gilbreath are 5 star players that have LSu in their top 4-5.

5-4 lorin Dixon is a top notch Guard who is listed as interested in LSU. Also associated with the Tigers from the class of 2007 are G Alex Montgomery and Sydney Colson, all 4 star recruits.
  4. hey Nodak, where do you get your info on the lady tigers? I always like to keep up with recruiting and all but it seems there aren't many recruiting sites for the women.
  5. thanx, there was another one I can remember going to last year blue something also.
  6. Kelly Cain has 4 starts, and they put the schools in alphabetical order. Where a school is in the group has nothing to do with where it stands with the recruit.
  7. Lorin Dixon, a 5'4" pg out of NY who played for the mythical #1 high school team, Christ the King, is very high on LSU. Dixon, who played with Carrem Gay (Duke) and Tina Charles (UCONN) throughout her high school career is said to be favoring the Tigers over UCONN.
