I think this is a key statement, and I agree with you. I am not sure how much economic windfall BR gets from LSU games comapred to what LSU and the SEC. Look, everyone wants to see LSU play, especially in Tiger Stadium, but we are living in a time of extraordinary circumstances, and it may be a little longer then 2 weeks from 8/29/2005 that LSU is feasably able to play a home game. LIFE WILL GO ON!

Crip, every time you mention Lakeview, I get a lump in my throat. No slam against you, it's just me. I am not gonna argue should or shouldn't. I am just gonna say that there may have been a lot of ticket holders that were in areas that didn't flood too bad at first from the actual hurricane, and went back in only to wake up in the middle of the night to rising waters due to the *censored* 17th Street Canal. And there are a lot of LSU fans relocated to other states right now that have only what they packed in their car. I don't think they are gonna drive to BR for a football game. I think they are probably focusing all their energy on how to survive and give their kids some sort of normal life. Just MHO

I'd love to see the game played next weekend at Tiger Stadium; but at this time it can be an awkward scenery on gameday with the refugees and sick right next to the tailgaters. If LSU can sustain 35,000 students four days next week, why can't it sustain one football game on Saturday? I would think that it takes much more resources and employees at one day of school than at one football game, but I could be wrong.
You all ive in a world that is colored purple and gold and it is very sad. I am not saying shut down the season. I am saying play away games and work with the other schools to take in the gate after they pay for the usage. You people have no ****ing compassion because you are sitting in a place that has power and you have hot meals to eat. I was planning on driving down for every game since in the past 3 years I have only been able to attend 1 game due to Army life. But I would happy trade the money I was gonna use for that to be able to help a family start a new life. Flame me, blast me with Neg rep I dont give a **** anymore.
