no it was defintely an heroic act because that decision to tell cost her job and I'm sure she knew that before doing it. A coach can take advantage of a player who might want more playing time or whatever that is why the relationship is banned, even if this girls are adults they can still be put in a situation where they feel that have to have this relationship with their coach in order to play or have a chance for a basketball career or maybe an assistant coaching job in the future. Yes these situations can occur in the real workplace but the NCAA is in a situation where they can prevent it.
PJN, yes Carla Berry is a serious b####! She didn't care about those players, if she did, she would never have done it when she did. She did it because she was PISSED that Pokey was about to demote her. She decided to go for revenge and ruin our program. Pokey and angel? NO. Pokey a human with boundary problems? Yes. Carla Berry wanted to ruin Pokey's career by taking it to the press. If she cared about LSU or the program or the girls on the team she NEVER would have done this. She didn't care who she took down. She better be glad she doens't live in my town, I'd egg her face!
I am sure the players' parents are really pissed that their daughters can't confide in their coach anymore as a girlfriend.
Also, have you guys seen how many girls (who have parents) have shown up to her camp? Have you noticed that TWO current Lady Tigers are helping her? Have you noticed that former assistant coach Christie Sides in working with her? That two former players are working with her? Have you noticed that one incoming player decommitted? That one to be Sophomore just left?
Edwin Edwards still has a huge following too........he's in prison, so did Manson- so what does that tell us? You seem pretty close to Pokey- you a former player?
That would be me. :thumb: Do you know the difference tween and Ahole and a prick?.............an Ahole KNOWS they're an Ahole.............I am an Ahole. :hihi: Let's have fun in here though and not get carried away with the name-calling. LVT has hired me a mentor and I'm working on "Growing up" and these invitations are as inviting to me as bourbon to an alcoholic.
