I realize you can burn out practicing too many weeks in advance for a team, but it sure seems like we are taking an awful long time off. I'm sure St. Nick knows what he is doing, but it seems strange not to put in place new plays, work on some scheming, etc.

Looks like a sign of confidence and domination to come?

I agree. I know Nick knows how to manage the team and get the ready and I seriously doubt anyone on the team will not be ready. However, Stoops I believe is back on the practice field with his squad. Maybe they are just having a gut check after getting their asses kicked on national TV.

There's almost a whole month before the Sugar Bowl. Usually teams only prepare for a team the week leading up to the game. There's plenty of time.

As long as the team is staying in shape (lifting weights, etc.) I'm not concerned.

I think the break is needed. These guys have been playing their hearts out since the last bye week and they definately need a rest. I did read that they were given a workout schedule to abide by. I'm sure with the prospect of a national title, nobody would dare come back out of shape!
