1. I can only compare him to Hester. What a determined runner.

Ironically, what was lost in all of this, was the last play of the game. A TN defender breaks through and has him unimpeded, Ridley makes a very subtle move to throw the defender off, then powers through as he is hit right before the goal line.

A fantastic run! Another 100 yard game! What a great a job he is doing.

You can watch it here, at the 3 minute 20 second mark.

  2. And he's doing it without any threat of a passing attack. Even more difficult.
  3. He's better than Hester and Scott.
  4. He had some really amazing runs with nice cutbacks.....

    Great efforts.
  5. I have not seen a harder runner at LSU in a long time. It's like, when you make contact, some guys go down, but Ridley, it like the contest is just starting. He makes more yards after initial contact than I remember other backs doing, and he's consistent, he does it EVERY TIME HE CARRIES, until he is put down on the ground.

I'd like to see a reliable backup to him, be that Blue or Ford. But Steven Ridley is giving us a treat to watch. That guy has heart.

  6. Yeah, its a real shame he is being lumped into the whole "terrible offense" delimma. He is a great back, who to me seems to be overlooked in the media, because our passing game is garbage.
  7. Thanks to both...and to many, many others that keep on keein on in spite of.......

    Geaux Tigers.
  8. Ridley is going to play in the NFL if he stays healthy. He's got what it takes: talent and work ethic. I've never seen him take a play off. Ball in his hands or not. He's a good blocker, too.
  9. Agreed.

Now if we can get Crowton to keep handing the ball to Ridley instead of fade patterns late in the fourth. And in now way am I blaming Ridley on that interception. Just a bad play call and a ball that should not have been thrown.
