Thanks. Unfortunately, because of the IRA, we are kinda used to dealing with these kinds of attacks. They are now saying 40 dead and 300+ injured.
You're in the prayers of millions of Americans, myself included. I can't imagine the rage you must be feeling. Stay strong.
Good news on a horrible day. I just got off the phone with my mother who lives in NW London. The strangest story I've ever heard. My two cousins who work at Liverpool St. station were actually taking their families to heathrow airport on the train. They dropped them off early and were on their way to work late when the explosions occured. If it were any other day they would have been at the site of the explosions. Another cousin that also works on the underground was on the way to work when the explosions occured. The train stopped and no-one made any announcement about what was going on. He got bored on the train and decided to walk 4 miles to work instead of sitting on the train (my cousin is kinda crazy like this). When he got to work he found out what had happened, and is now stuck at work because there is no functioning public transportation. My mother said something that stuck with me. She said that their good deeds paid for their safety today.
I am glad to hear many of your family members are OK. Saz, Please know I am praying for those still unaccounted for.
My prayers sent for your family, friends, and all the others who have been impacted. I also pray that the guily people will be caught and punished.
My company owns a hotel in the financial district near one of the explosions. Luckily, no one was hurt, but we had many people staying there on business at the time. I'm wondering what they'll say about it... Are you a former Londoner living in Louisiana or something?
