Well, when you are fat and ugly, you gotta do other things to be cool. :grin: I have never made a nickel doing it. My uncle does it for a living now though he has done well with it.
Most people aren't in it for the money -- it's a risky business. My Uncle has a stable of about 40 that he runs throughout the midwest, Arkansas, and Louisiana. He probably breaks even when it's all said and done. I hope to own a couple someday but first I need to get the kids through college.
I always said that if I ever came into alittle money that I would like to look into horse racing and owning horses, but since I havent won the lottery as of yet, it hasnt happened. But that would be a GREAT way to spend your retirement!
