1. We are all in disguise, somewhat. Lots to prove and when we finally get on the field, not all the talent is created equal. Let me take just one of us, with a lot to prove. For example, Arkansas, thinking on your annual pilgrimage to Fayetteville, is now the proud owner of a BCS game and a 2nd place finish in the mighty west. They also enjoyed Bama and LSU at home, last season. Now the pendulum swings and they bring their act on the sec road. 7 returning starters on D, with a stout line and not so much on the back end. New QB and 3 new interior offensive linemen. Not easy picking up those blitzes in a pass happy offense, rather then a much easier run first philosophy, in breaking in the new guys.

Many razorbacks feel that Petrino will simply pick it up where the sugar bowl left off. If they just duplicate what they accomplished last year, with their schedule and graduation, It will be a major, hog calling miracle. Otherwise, one sucessful year is not a trend.
  2. Holy chit...I agree with you!

  3. All true but for us in Tigerland its hard to see that since we have lost 3 of 4 to Arkansas with the only win an OT come from behind win at Home.

Again its no secret I am partial to Arkansas because my neighbor and good friend is a former razorback and I get beat over the head with Hogs and 3 of the last 4 years had to fly that darn flag on my house for a week.

With that said, I think Arkansas is going to be really good this year, Their QB so far has looked very good and their WR's core is probably the best in the nation. Tack on Kniles Davis who some argue is the best RB in the SEC (Which I give to Richardson) makes for a potent razorback team.

National champions... No.... But a major player in the top 15 yes.... Again as will LSU, Bama, etc etc etc... Heck Even Miss State is good again.
  4. 14-0 if they beat Oregon, 13-1 with no NC if they don't.

  5. True enough, but it could be Miss St. as easily as Arkansas. When Wilson drops back he will need to work on the 3 step, and work on those roll outs. We see the younsters on the O-line and Kniles ran in a pass first offense, Is he up to those tough yards when the defense see's him coming? I still get the impression that Arkansas believes that offense wins championships.
  6. We are a ? at QB away from 12-0, but as of now I have to say 10-2. 8-4 is a definte possiblity if JJ repeats last year.

  7. I will take one of those

  8. Bama - D !!

    LSU - D !!

    Hogs - D LOL !!!
  9. 10 - 2...waaaay too much depth in the West and our out of conference schedule is brutal (maybe one of the toughest schedules an FBS team has played in a long while). Even if we beat Oregon and beat West Virginia, those games are gonna take a lot out of us. MSU has trap game written all over it...tough OOC games to start the season, Thursday night game on a short week, etc. We will be very, very strong, but so will Bama and Arky.
  10. CHIT! TWICE I agree wholeheartedly!

I agree Arky has the nod at WR at LEAST in the SEC...if not the country. Kniles Davis was good last year.

HOWEVER, and I don't understand why this is so easily overlooked by so many football fans...they are NOT very strong on the OL this season.

Good luck to Davis running behind that line, and Godspeed to Wilson trying to stand tall in the collapsing pocket. Those great receivers better get open QUICK!

This is the reason Bama and LSU are both preseason top 5 and Arky is not. Football games, especially in the SEC, are won in the trenches.
