Mark May (and someone else) not only dropped us but dropped us on their ballots to #5 behind Penn State and Va Tech. (As seen on ESPN)

Because of the Arkansas game. I am sure they are not the only ones.

Screw 'em. SEC Championship is fine by me....always has been, and always will be. If luck happens to go our way and we get a shot a national championship, that's great. But until then, I'm enjoying the ride.

Oh, and looking at PSU's schedule, it's laughable to think the Big 10 was all that tough this year.

its a lot more complicated than this, isnt it? wont the results of our opponents' opponents have as much of an effect?

also, what about games between two of our opponents (like Ole Miss v Miss St)? i wouldnt be surprised if Ole Miss losing helps LSU. it seems like in general its better to play all average teams than a couple great teams and a bunch of crappy ones.

Another scenario is to play no good teams like Texas has done this year... b/c minus OSU, they have played NO ONE

sounds a bit harsh. TxTech no good?

They are a decent team who took advantage of playing nobodies out of and in conference

Here's what I think happens this week. We pass all the two loss teams in the computers except Ohio State. Ohio State's computer ranking is high enough, they probably will not fall below us in any computer. (Maybe Billingsley).

LSU will gain a little ground on Penn State in the computers.

However, I think we will lose a lot of ground to Penn State in the human polls this week as the nation watched us hang on by a thread against Arkansas, and the Joe Pa lovefest was already starting to gain steam last week. People will start to say that Penn State looks to be just as consistant as LSU, if not more, and start to move them ahead of us. I would not at all be surpised to see us sitting in 4th in at least one human poll tomorrow, and I will be completely surprised if we keep our large lead in both of the relevant human polls.
