Etling threw for 2 TD's of 38 and 28 yards but was only 5-11. I know that's only an early small sampling I would like to see him get his completion percentage up to at least 60-65 %. Story didn't say whether it was first team O vs first team D.

As of now would you say that if the season started tonight Brennan would be the backup?

If Etling is anything more than a bumbling mess facing Aranda's D, that'd be an improvement vs what we saw playing Bama last year.

There could be catching issues which would bring his percentage down as well, especially if O is saying the passes were there. Time will tell, he has a few good arms behind him to keep pushing for improvement.

I think receiving corps has been an issue for a while now; not doing the QB any favors.
