look at what we lost as the year went on to injuries. Last year we were pretty healthy, compared to this year.

The shape of the program is solid guys, no reason to overreact. We lost two games, to two tough SEC teams, both in triple overtime.

We also played a lot of young pups, who will only get better.

    Talk about being off base.

LSU was more talented and more mature last year on offense (see wide receivers). We had a QB that went #1 in the NFL draft and replaced him with someone along the order of a Matt Mauck (not bad, but not J Russell either).

Our offense thrived like no other in the history of LSU. 40 ppg and 450 ypg.

And all that with a first year OC, Mr. Crowton. By far the most diverse this offense has ever looked (and well balanced also).

Did I mention this thread was way off base? I thought so.

Look on the other side of the ball, my friend.

LSU chalked up a heck of a lot of points this year to be slaming Crowton.

Ding, Ding, Ding!!! We have a winner folks!

Defense is why we are not playing for a national title this year, period.

I know we had a good offense this year and great balance, but there was something missing and that was big plays in the passing game...Flynn wasn't capable to throw the ball 25 to 30 yards downfield and he is not the most accurate passer out there...But I can't complain about our offense, they were great...Defense let us down big time.
