It was reported on this board yesterday that he has a torn rotator cuff.

I can sympathize. I tore the rotator cuff in my right shoulder slipping on a fishing boat four years ago. It never healed back to 100% and I have pain and loss of control on overhand throws. I can still toss a mean frisbee with an underhand sweep, but I now throw a football like a little girl. It ain't pretty.

Bad news for Harrison, he was a damn good JC quarterback and was the only reserve QB with any game experience. The nightmare scenaro for this season is to lose both Mauck and Randall to injury and have to play a green QB who isn't ready yet.

agree with you, not sure how Lester Ricard is doing but at least he has a year in the system. I'm not so sure we wouldn't see him in action before Flynn or Russel, but what do I know.

    Harrison got in a game?

I think he was referring to his JC playing experience. I don't remember him playing in a game for the Tigers.

He had something like a 1,600 or 1,800 yard season in JC. He also got in a couple of games at Hawaii, I think.

Can he take a medical redshirt, resume his final year in 2004, or does he get screwed out of his last year?

I'd rather them play a freshman over Randall. He can't throw a pass, which is important to the quarterback position.

I read in the Shreveport paper today that Harrison will get a medical redshirt.
