Ignore what? You maintain that Lee's interceptions are a bigger problem than the defense. Our offense is #2 in the Sec. Our defense is in the cellar.
Now you assume my state of mind. I took your joke(like who knew that except you?), seriously. How is that personal? You fail to show that again and this is ridiculous. You pull this often, so further comment from me is unnecessary.
To me? You do not find Lee's performance acceptable with the exception of his interceptions? Really? Was Flynn's performance acceptable last year? Why don't you try comparing those stats?
Flynn in his championship year(5th year senior, but first year starting), had 56.3% completions, with 6.71 yards/catch, and a 125.76 Qb rating.
JR in his last year(first year starting), had 50.7% completions, 7.31 yards/catch, and a 127.19 QB rating.
Lee(first year as a starter), has 58% completions, 7.9 yards/catch, and a 134.8 QB rating.
Again, I say the only complaint you have is his interceptions(which are huge), but you claim his other numbers are unacceptable. Seeing him stacked up against our last two successful QB's, makes that clearly untenable. You can ignore the numbers but they do not lie. Again, the only number sub par is his interceptions.
I have said repeatedly that is unacceptable so there is someone lying here, and it's not me.
There are two significant differences here. Firstly, Lee played not one down last year. Not one. Every single player on our defense has extensive experience on either last year's defense or special teams. The lone exception is Peterson.
Secondly, the offense is at the top of the SEC, and Lee's numbers are quite good, with the exception of his interceptions. The defense is at the bottom in every category. Take your pick and address it. You can't, because it cannot be explained away.
Those LBs had playing time last year and have gotten worse with each game. The Cbs have actually played well, and I have said so repeatedly. They have been burned a few times but I give them passes for youth. I do not give a second year starting safety and junior safety that subbed flawlessly in the NCG for Steltz, a pass on repeated blown coverages. He isn't just getting beaten, he is forgetting the name of his position completely - safety. The DLine has taken a step back from last year, and our turnovers forced are dead last.
Those stats are indefensible. Pun intended...
