Why, why, do we tip off the fact that we are running a QB sneak? When J.J. is in the game and we line up a bunched formation close to the goal line or on very short yardage we are running that play. We haven't run anything else from that formation and with everyone clustered so tightly there really isn't a whole lot of other options. Perhaps one day in a big game I will be proven wrong and we will run another play from that alignment, but until then little children will be turning to their fathers saying, "Dad, look they're about to run a Quarterback Sneak!"

Maybe Miles plans to have JJ put a jump pass into the endzone from that formation down the road?

Scarry; I thought of the same thing ..jump pass...when I read the post; then realized that it was a different formation when JJ did it. Just wondering if they can still do it with the QB sneak formation?

It works damn near everytime and I think it worked yesterday although the refs didn't.

Sure. Just sneak out a TE again. He might line up just a little bit wider, but not much. JJ backs up, instead of going forward, TE sneaks behind the DL, and jump pass.

To make the linebackers commit to the sneak, JJ needs to fake going forward before backing off. By that time most defenders would be flat on the ground in the middle. Key is for the TE to break away from the defender......

Nope, not on the goal it didn't. They knew it was coming and stopped it. We had to settle for a FG.
