1. What kind of players do you all have coming off of the bench? I could look at stats but that doesnt tell the whole story.

We will have Lee Melchioni and DeMarcus Nelson coming off the bench and that is it. Lee was a great shooter last year but has dissapointed this year. he is still capable of hitting a few 3's on Thursday, though. DeMarcus is a great 6th man and should be our starting 3 guard, IMO. He is one of our best defenders and can stoke it from downtown. He is 6'3'' but plays much bigger -- Californias all-time leading scorer and rebounder (high school).

    Good luck.
  2. Depth is our biggest weakness, and our biggest obstacle to the Final Four.
  3. Ben Voogd (the recently converted turn over machine comes in at PG. He can't score though.)

    Magnum Rolle (developing well IMO)

Darnel Lazare (good all around player)
  4. The only player that you have to be worried about coming off the bench is fleshman (#10). If he comes off the bench, it means you lost.

But, we're not to deep at all.
  5.

But seriously, to expand a bit:

Lazare started at the beginning of the season, giving way to the human pogo stick Thomas after several games. As our only JR he's our second most experienced player, a solid 4, a capable defender and can give a little punch on O.

Rolle is a long and lean 6'10" frosh who's coming along nicely, but still plays fairly young. His length makes him somewhat comparable to Thomas but without the extreme athleticism. Will be a very good player in a year or two.

Voogd, another frosh, is our only depth at guard and will spell Mitchell and/or Temple briefly. He has good vision, is capable of great passes but not extremely athletic. He is still adjusting to the speed and quickness of top D1 players and will make passes he shouldn't, or just get overmatched athletically and turn it over.
  6. Has it been established whether Lazarre or Tyrus will start? Tyrus will play more minutes, but technically he may be a player that Duke has to watch out for off the bench - although I'm sure Duke fans are relatively familiar with him.
  7. Tyrus said in an interview with LSU Sports he is 90-95%. In my opinion this is THE game we were saving him for.
