1. this isnt our nazi government burning books, it is regular private folks. they burn whatever they want, whenever they want, obviously.
  2. doesn't make it any less naziesque. i don't care who does it, you shouldn't burn books, regardless of what they are. Do they have a right, well yeah i guess so, if you can burn the Stars and Stripes, i don't see why they can't, but i would like to think that these people have a little more sense than to burn books.
  3. You advocate burning a living plant but not a book. WTF.

  4. I don't burn the plants, i burn the fruit it yields. The cops burn the plant.
  5. Touche
  6. While they clearly have right and freedom to do it, I question the sanity of these folks. It seems like an act that could put Americans abroad in danger. What do they hope to prove? That there are a bunch of really sensitive Muslims that react violently when there precious things are desecrated? Everyone, literally, knows Muslims are big babies about crap like that.
  7. Patreaus said the same thing. It's a valid sentiment.
  8. what do you mean, of course you should, if you want. you "should" burn whatever you want. books arent magic or sacred, if you want to warm your house with books, sweet. there is no "should" or "shouldnt" that applies to private citizens burning stuff.

in fact burning korans is a pretty sweet protest. if they run out, i would like it if they threw a couple bibles in there, and maybe a couple creed cds.
