Its a fine line between being the artist and the commercial clothing designer. Her decision effectively killed her chances at being known as an artist. She didn't have the name to pull a stunt like that. But in terms of commercial success it worked out. She has a pretty good base of boutiques and such that carry her lines. The plus side to this is she can skip fashion week, though she did show the year after, again using "large models."
